The AKI Sports Tournament 2025 kicked off on 4th August 2025 at Railways Training Institute (RTI), with preliminary ball games. There were 24 teams participating in football, 14 in netball, 18 in volleyball and 12 in basketball.

The grand finals took place on 4th October 2025 at Ulinzi Stadium, attracting over 600 participants and spectators. In addition to the main ball games, attendees participated in a variety of activities including swimming, track and field events, tug-of-war, seven-a-side football, badminton, darts, and table tennis—with even a few CEOs joining in on point-earning challenges!

APA Insurance emerged as the overall champions with 99 points, followed by CIC Group (52 points) and Liberty-Heritage (37 points).

? Football: GA Insurance successfully defended their 2024 title, overcoming Kenindia in a thrilling final. CIC and APA claimed third and fourth place respectively.

???? Basketball: Britam clinched the top spot, followed by CIC Group, APA, and Jubilee.

???? Volleyball: CIC Group took the championship, with APA, Madison, and Liberty finishing in the top four.

???? Netball: APA triumphed over CIC in the final, while Madison and Kenya Re secured third and fourth place respectively.

The objective of the event is to get individuals in insurance company physically active. The event remains a highlight in the AKI calendar, and it showcases teamwork, sportsmanship and industry friendship.
